Analitica Latin America showed innovation in laboratory technologies
With over 500 brands on display and an international congress, it is confirmed to be the main event for the sector in Latin America
The 10th edition of Analitica Latin America, main international fair with innovations in technology for laboratories, analyses, biotechnology and quality control, which was held from the 8th to the 10th of September 2009, in São Paulo, welcomed around 10 thousand visitors, who visited over 500 brands on display, in a total area of 23 thousand square meters.
Among the over 1,000 launches on display during the 3-days event, the New Analitica introduced the new Purelab Ultra, a water ultra purification system technology for the most critical applications in biosciences or analytics. The equipment produces pure water based on a pre-purified content and incorporates exclusive characteristics which guarantee water with 18.2 MW-cm.
PerkinElmer showcased high technology solutions for such segments as biofuels, environment, and pharmaceutical, among others. Bioquímica, in turn, highlighted the brands presented in the analytical and chemical segments - Acros Organics, Honeywell, Whatman, Ultra Scientific and Fmaia – as well as in the biosciences area, through products from Fischer Bioreagents, BD, Wheaton and MWG.
In this year´s edition, the event counted on international pavilions: China, Belgium and Germany. A total of 51 countries were present: South Africa, Australia, Austria, Bolivia, Canada, Chile, Singapore, Finland, Mexico, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, and Turkey, among others. “Once again, Analitica Latin America has proven to be a meeting place for the laboratory market, presenting the most recent innovations, launches and, most importantly, the organization of the first congress linked to the industry and the academia, said Ligia Amorim, general director of NürnbergMesse Brasil.
According to Dario Bonna Junior, commercial director of Dafratec, this year the quality of the contacts made during the event was much better than the ones made in previous years. „We received professionals with a higher purchasing power. The fair brought a lot of technologial innovations through the presence of foreign exhibitors, from Germany and Belgium, for instance“, he said.
“Since Analitica is a big event, we noticed that visitors were interested in the search for maximal information, with a gain of time. We also noticed an excellent number of visitors coming in and out, through the circulation of several professionals. Certainly, our participation was satisfactory and the fair was very interesting”, said Maria Luisa de Souza Rossi, technical director of Ambicamp.
“Analitica Latin America is a great opportunity for us to get to know our customers and suppliers and broaden our relationships, in addition to being in contact with the market´s needs. We have noticed a great movement, many requests for estimates and new business deals being generated. In general, Analitica is the “world cup” of fairs, since it gathers several markets, ranging from the pharmaceutical, beverages, food, to sanitation, among others”, said Ohannes Bedoyan, marketing coordinator of Hexis.
Parallel to the fair, the First Analitica Latin America Congress was held, with the presence of 385 participants . Professionals from the analysis area could attend presentations about a variety of topics through specific symposyums for such industries as food, energy, bioanalytical and enviroment. Topics such as „Fuel quality control“ , „Forensics Chemistry“, „Bioanalysis“ , „Analytical Tools for Industrial and Enviromental Processes“, and „Norms and standards for the laboratory segment“ were some of the highlights at the conference. „The Latin America Congress has provided us with a great opportunity of sharing knowledge and experiences with professors, researchers and professionals from the sector, in different segments such as the industry, research institutions, regulators and univertsities, among others. Undoubtedly, an advance in studies and innovations related to quality control and laboratory analysis“, says Lauro Kubota, Professor at Unicamp
